1. What types of counselling do you offer?
I offer online counselling through video sessions (Zoom, Skype, etc.) and email counselling, where we exchange therapeutic emails on an agreed schedule.
2. How long are the counselling sessions?
Video sessions last approximately 50 minutes. Email counselling varies depending on the number of emails agreed upon but usually involves 1-2 emails per week.
3. How do I book a session?
Please contact me via email to arrange a convenient time. For video sessions, we’ll agree on a slot. For email counselling, we will set up the frequency of emails and payment before starting.
4. What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice for video sessions. If you cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice or miss a session, you will be charged the full fee. For email counselling, once you send your email and I reply, that counts as one session.
5. What payment methods do you accept?
I accept payment via bank transfer or PayPal. Sessions must be paid in advance before starting.
6. Is online counselling confidential?
Yes. Everything you share is confidential except in cases where there is a risk of serious harm to you or others, or if I am legally required to disclose information.
7. What if I don’t speak English fluently?
I am fluent in English and can offer counselling in German as well. If you have any difficulty understanding, please let me know.
8. Do you offer emergency or crisis support?
No, I do not provide emergency support. If you are in crisis or feeling suicidal, please contact emergency services or your local mental health helpline immediately.
9. How long does therapy usually last?
Therapy length varies depending on your personal goals and needs. Some clients benefit from short-term work; others prefer longer-term support.
10. Can I switch between video and email counselling?
Yes, we can discuss what works best for you, and you can switch between formats during your therapy journey.
11. Are you accredited?
I hold a Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling and work ethically. Although I am not registered with a governing body, I maintain professional standards and confidentiality.
12. How do I know if counselling is right for me?
Counselling can support anyone experiencing emotional difficulties, stress, relationship challenges, or wanting personal growth. If you feel stuck, overwhelmed, or just want a safe space to explore your thoughts and feelings, counselling might be a good option. You’re welcome to contact me for an initial conversation to see if I’m a good fit for your needs.
